12/23/16 – Fox Chapel Schools Raise >$70,000 for ALS

The school kids in our neighborhood knocked our socks off in December with the culminating events for the Fox Chapel Area School District Fundraisers and Telethon.  From across the district k-12 kids learned about ALS and LiveLikeLou and committed their energy and $$ for patients and a cure through ice bucket challenges, car smashes, fortune telling, dress/up down days, pizza and cotton candy sales… the list goes on and on.  An anonymous matching pledge of $25,000 added to the fun and the funds!  Here is a short and lovely video capturing the kids excitement on Telethon Day at the high school, and some pictures too.  We were honored to have Dr. Christopher Donnelly from the LiveLikeLou Center for ALS Research at The University of Pittsburgh, as well as WTAE’s Sally Wiggin join the Marketing and Television students for the live, televised event.  And we loved seeing the “Onward” t-shirts on so many young people – they really embraced the cause as well as the intent of LiveLikeLou!  We are honored and delighted to have your support Foxes!!
