Join us for The Lou Workout at home! On Saturday, January 25, personal trainers Jeannie Glasstetter and Cora Skorapad will lead a low-impact, modified version of The Lou Workout, ensuring that The Lou is for everyone; The Lou is for YOU. No equipment needed, this version of The Lou is accessible to all!
Whether you’re a caregiver, an ALS advocate, or a friend of Live Like Lou, join us on Zoom to participate, have fun, raise awareness for ALS, and secure funds for Live Like Lou's programs. Join the Live Like Lou & Friends Team by registering and then share what you're up to with your community! Secure at least $144 in donations, and receive The Lou Workout hat; raise $444 or more and earn The Lou water bottle! All registration fees and funds raised for The Lou help us leave ALS better than we found it.
Zoom and workout details will be emailed to registrants on the LLL & Friends Team by Friday afternoon, January 24. Email us with questions! The workout will be at noon Pacific, 2 Central, and 3 Eastern.
The low-impact exercises we'll do include optional equipment:
1. Push ups, using a wall, bench, counter, chair or box
2. Wall balls or squat thrusters, using a ball, chair, bench, box, or weights
3. Rows, using a pull up bar, rings, weights (soup cans!), or bands
4. Burpees, modified using a box, bench, or chair
Our hosts for this at-home workout are Cora and Jeannie. While Cora and Jeannie worked together professionally, they quickly became friends at the start of their careers. They have completed multiple marathons together including Chicago and Boston, traveled to Thailand last summer and can be found making silly Instagram Reels in their spare time.
With 17 years of professional experience in the fitness industry, Cora is a certified Pilates instructor and personal trainer passionate about helping others achieve their health and wellness goals. Her mission is to empower individuals through movement, fostering strength, balance, and confidence in their journey to a healthier lifestyle. She is currently the Pilates studio manager at Midtown Athletic Club in Bannockburn, Illinois.
Jeannie’s passion is sharing her knowledge of fitness, nutrition and wellness to others. Professionally, Jeannie has 18 years experience in the fitness industry including certifications in personal training, Pilates and nutrition. Her goal is to change your view on wellness so that it becomes a part of who you are and your lifestyle. She currently works virtually with at-home clients and at Club Pilates in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.
