College baseball season has begun! The third annual All 4 Lou Showdown will beTuesday, March 18, and features the Vandy Boys vs. the Belmont Bruins. Ticket sales and sponsorships will benefit the Live Like Lou Fund for ALS Research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC).
The Showdown will be on campus at Vanderbilt this year at Hawkins Field. While the game time is 6 p.m., get there early to join Live Like Lou and our friends from the Permobil Foundation for a special pre-game presentation.
The Live Like Lou Foundation and VUMC have worked together since 2020, committing more than $5.1 million to fund Middle Tennessee's largest investment in ALS discovery. This unique public, private, and institutional partnership has built a community of support to sustain new science for this disease that needs more ‘at bats’ to find treatments or a cure. Just last year, Véronique Belzil, PhD, MS, began as VUMC's Director of ALS Research, funded through Live Like Lou's It's a Whole New Ballgame campaign.
